The Revenue Nurse Auditor is responsible for performing government and private payer audit reviews and appeals. Compares clinical and financial records to ensure that the documentation provided supports the patient charges listed. Monitors late and missing charges. If errors are detected, the Auditor will present corrected information to Business Services or affected department(s), and work collaboratively with each effected area to maintain accuracy and appropriate billing. LVN or clinical nursing experience preferred. A minimum of three years nursing experience required. Knowledge of government payer guidelines, third party administrators, appeals and claims. Knowledge of coding and billing. Clinical knowledge needed to effectively interact with all levels of health care providers. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
