Responsible for processing and maintaining a complete and accurate electronic medical record as required by departmental and hospital policies as well as by Medical Staff rules and regulations, Title 22, Conditions of Participation and other regulatory agencies. Record processing and maintenance include the collection of discharged records, prepping, scanning, verifying and indexing the images, analysis of the record for physician documentation deficiencies, release of information, processing subpoenas, processing birth certificates, profiling physician activity, compiling reports and records for medical staff committee review, record retention and storage processes, ongoing record review transcription processes and other duties as required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Terminology and Basic Computer knowledge preferred.

Two years in a medical records setting preferred. Excellent customer service skills required. Bilingual pref'd.
