Under the Supervision of the Corporate Director of Facilities Management, the position manages the Biomed Engineering Technicians. Repairs and maintains all types of medical equipment to include Anesthesia equipment;assists medical/nursing staff in operation/use of equipment. Assists with new construction equipment selection and installations.
Associate or Bachelor degree required.
A minimum of ten years experience as a biomedical engineering technician. At least 5 years supervisory experience.
Current California Drivers license.Must be 21 years of age or older; must have two (2) years of continuous driving experience in the state of California. If a license is suspended, the experience record begins from the time of license reinstatement; must have no major convictions (ie DUI/DWI, hit and run, driving w/suspended license, reckless driving, eluding police, open containers, exhibition of speed (racing), negligent driving); must have no more than one (1) moving citation in a three (3) year period; must have no more than one (1) at-fault accident in a three (3) year period. Accidents will be considered at- fault unless evidence is provided (ie police report and/or letter from insurance company) showing the incident as not at-fault.
Anesthesia Manufacturer certified. Manufacturers Ventilator certification. Manufacturer certified on Telemetry/Patient monitoring systems.
