The Lift Team Technician will be responsible for complex lifts defined as total body transfers requiring maximal assistance to and from: (1) bed to/from chair/wheelchair; (2) bed to/from gurney; (3) bed to/from toilet/commode; (4) floor to bed; (5) repositioning (i.e. turning and up in bed) , (6) any other lift where total body movement of a non-ambulatory patient is required. The Lift Team Member will make rounds on a scheduled basis, approximately every two (2) hours, in units that require extensive patient repositioning or transfer. The Lift Team technician will use appropriate equipment for all patient handling tasks to provide a safe environment for the patient and staff member.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and ability to apply, organize and oversee multiple tasks/responsibilities.
Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Leadership skills required. Knowledge of lift equipment preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.
Health Care Provider CPR required. AB508 required within 3 months of hire. Existing CVHP employees with current CPI certification will be grandfathered in until renewal at which time they must obtain AB508 certification. Training is renewed annually (cert. expires end of month in which training takes place).
