Performs all activities of a pharmacist under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including but not limited to the following: Procurement, storage and distribution of all drugs in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state and federal mandates as well as accepted standards of practice. Responsible for peforming clinical consults according to pharmacy guidelines and conducting ongoing drug utilization reviews to promote effective, safe and efficient use of medications. Supervises technicians to optimize workflow and resource utilization. Actively participates in CQI activities.

Graduate of the California State Board of Pharmacy. PharmD degree preferred.

Some experience as an intern pharmacist in a hospital practice preferred. High level of English verbal and written skills in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, nurses and physicians. Able to withstand stress of high activity area.  Excellent customer service skills required.

Current registration in California as an Intern Pharmacist.  BLS certification.
